Checked it out - noticed it's possible to set it to *not* remove cookies/saved passwords etc from firefox. I have Firefox allow cookies session only unless I make a specific exception for a site anyway, though.
Ran the Cleaner Analysis and it reported 1.9gig ! I manually checked the list though, and couldn't find near 1.9gig of files there, and ran the cleaner and it said something like 4.58KB removed. I shoulda checked my free disk space before running, I guess, to know for sure what happened
I backed up my registry and then used the registry cleaner tool - mostly .net v1 missing DLLs and some missing extensions.
Will see if I notice any improvements or problems and report back if I do!
ps. I like (to think I) keep my install relativly clean - had Vista Ult x64 on this pc (e8400/4gigRAM/2.5TB hdds/4870) since last summer ish and found my computer to be pretty responsive and snappy since install - I probably have a decent amount of 'spare resources' anyway, to eat up any problems and make them barely noticable - though, still, I prefer not to use/install any anti-virus / 3rd party software firewalls / optimiser tools etc in general. I have very few background processes running, my system tray has only CCC/Steam/mIRC/Sidebar/HD Audio/Windows Volume thingiee/network icon, and I specifically disable system services for all OSs I run that I don't need/use - so I use as little RAM and cpu time as possible for 'background' stuff.
