Well this afternoon I decided to run some errands, so I filled out my phones4u chequeback form and printed off a copy of my bill, so that I could send of my latest chequeback claim.
I also wrote some thank you cards, as a few of my relatives were pretty generous when it was my birthday a few weeks ago.
I was just getting my things ready to head to the post office, and remembered I hadn't yet cashed cheques from said generous relatives, nor my last cheque from phones4u, so I decided after walking half way to town to the post office, I may as well complete the journey, and go and pay in my cheques. Sound logic.
Except it was pissing down with rain, and so windy my umbrella broke, and it's one of those spring loaded ones, and the breakage meant it wouldn't clip shut, so I was forced to hold it shut as I couldn't find a suitable bin to dump it into (seeing as it expanded as soon as I let go!). So there I am in HSBC, one hand holding my dripping wet umbrella, the other fumbling for my cheques, all the while my glasses becoming more and more steamed up so I couldn't see fuck all.
As I attempted to fill in a paying in slip, I managed to drip water on to one of the cheques signatures, which ran, so I'm not even convinced they're going to accept it now, which would be brilliant.
Arg. Hugs?
