I think a lot of people here are good(lifeless) enough to play competitvely, so let's give it a go!

flattery will get you no where enef! :)

it'll be interesting to see how we all get on when MW2 comes out and no of us have an advantage of map knowledge for the first week or two :D

I really liked COD 4, played Dom and HQ on normal.  I suspect clans only play hardcore SnD which is a lot less fun imo (i.e. it's basically counterstrike for COD).

Will definitely get MW2 but previous experience tells me initial release will be a big bug fest...

Will you guys be setting up a MW2 server for launch night?
I'm sure MW2 will be huge.
2 friends of mine and myself want a server for launch night or soon after, not all hosting companies are pre ordering mw2 hosing as of yet.

The original plan was to try and get it done for launch day but from the sounds of it it might be too difficult, none of the server guys have a good enough connection to upload everything needed quickly enough.

There should be one up the very next day, at least, i think. From what i remember Humbug saying they have to upload pretty much the entire game to the server, so it could take a while.

Since I'm basically sitting on a research network (2.5GBit) I'd be happy to help out with whatever upload wise.

give that is from a 360, i must admit the controls did look quite good - or it was a good player.  most console fps vids i've seen they look like noobs who cant aim for shit.

whats the bet we won't see _ANY_ official PC vids from IW :(

i'm gonna wait for a week, see if there is a major U-turn from IW given the revolt from the PC community...

maybe pigs will fly before this happens... :(

ah but my pre-order was for £30. if you order it now, its £35, so its a £5 hit if they do U-turn and I cancel.....

Mine was £35 so I cancelled.  Will probably eventually get it, but no rush - would prefer the steam version anyway.

There is an on line petition, but I suspect IW can monitor number of pre-orders too, so cancelling will make it more obvious we are making a dent in their profits.
