I like the daylight also but the gfx haven't really changed, as in improved.  Just looks more like an update than a new game.  I like the fire though  :D

seems cool but looks more cartoony than the original one. Then again i guess they will be adding in more textures and shizzle as they go.

I have heard that there's a group you can join that is going to boycott L4D2 because they are saying it should have been released as an update, lol...I agree though but I will still pay for it & probably not complain about it either, people forget its a business at the end of the day & tbh if I take the 40-50 euro I spent on L4D1 and compare that to the amount of fun i have had there's really no comparison, so Valve take my monies, no argument here

Makes me wonder why people hate Epic so much, regardless of the fact that they released an unfinished game the amount of content that followed would put Valve to shame

Well i'm gonna buy it for shure. And about that boycot group, i think thats a bit silly, people complain instead of googling or reading.

Valve had this to say about the complaint:

"It's definitely not the case that we're closing the book on L4D and saying, 'Next time you get anything is when the sequel comes out.
Stay tuned, there's more coming - there's more information we're going to talk about for the sequel, there's more content coming for Left 4 Dead in the fairly near term. I think the short answer is: trust us a little bit. We've been pretty good over the years - even with L4D going back just a few months - about supporting games post-launch."

people just love to moan thats the problem, as i am fairly new to pc gaming i have noticed that pc gamers are the worst for it, their games are cheaper, get them first, and they moan non stop.  console players on the other hand go out and pay £40 for a game in their millions and be happy as larry with a dog turd cleverly disguised as a dvd.

Like ut3 for example, people complained about the gui.  i mean ffs its the least important bit of the game, the flippin start menus.  And people were like "i'm not playing cos the gui sucks".  I never played ut2k4 so I can not compare the 2, but the ammount that people moaned about it was and is ridiculous.  No wonder console market is where its at, consoloe players are slightly retarded, spend more money and are easily influenced to buy any piece of garbage you throw at them.

Because we can.

Just because the people that choose to play games on a console and are limited to the crap that they buy, we PC gamers can demand that things get fixed and improved. Game developers can screw up sometimes and it's up the players to tell them what's wrong, in a very childish way, but we do tell them what to fix.

However, I disagree with demanding that L4D gets new DLC, L4D doesn't need any DLC, it only needs to be fixed. Give the SDK to the community and new maps will start to appear. The problem with L4D2 is that it is the same game as L4D but with new stuff, it's like a TF2 update but for more 50€/&/$. From the videos in Youtube, you can clearly see that it is the L4D we already have, not a completely new game, that's why I am not going to buy it. There are other releases that I am waiting for right now (D3) and the same shooter I bought some months ago is not an option.

About boycotting L4D2, those people are morons, it's much easier to not give a fuck.  :D

I'll be getting it, looks great.

And as for the boycotting nonsense, people really need to do their homework. I agree that at first glance from the gameplay they have shown it does look very L4D like. However..

"It's a much larger game than the original, and features new co-op and versus campaigns, all-new Survivors, boss zombies, weapons, and items, as well as melee combat."

"Valve has said that they intend on providing more exposition about what may have caused the zombie apocalypse than in the first game, and to try and connect the narratives of the two Left 4 Dead games."

"Players will have access to more and improved weapons, including melee weapons such as a frying pan, an axe, baseball bat, and chainsaw."

"Left 4 Dead 2 features new weapons along with the old ones. One of the new additions is the silenced machine gun. Next is a new assault rifle, it has greater precision and tighter grip than any other rifle."

"In addition to the infected from the previous game, there will be new classes, such as the Charger, a being reminiscent of the Tank from the first game that is able to temporarily stun the survivors by body-charging them and moving incredibly fast, but is significantly weaker and easier to kill. Existing types will have some modifications, including zombies that are immune to fire, and the Wandering Witch that roams the level until disturbed by the Survivors."

Sounds good to me.
