/me played quite a bit of COD 4 a while ago
Upon looking at the COD forums I discovered practically everything was deemed to "suck". Noob tube's, rockets, P90, martyrdom, juggernaut, 3 nades, blind throwing nades, M16, deep impact, jumping, dolphin diving, there are even servers where you get kicked if you run ...
My eventual conclusion was they were all fine and the people who couldn't deal with them were the ones that "sucked". Hence if I come across a server with lots of funny rules I tend to avoid it due to it not being worth the grief you get for killing someone the wrong way.
Personally I never got why the tube was such a problem - I never thought it was that powerful and it certainly doesn't kill me much.
The one change I would recommend is significantly lowering the health of the helicopter. One of COD's questionable design choices was to give lots of extra stuff to those who are winning. I mean they are winning so are better anyway, why not give them uav, air strikes and helicopters just too make sure there is no comeback
Anyway the helibot is particularly unfair as it can shoot you though the tiniest gap and will always go for the opposing teams top scoring players first. This means the only players with any hope of leveling the game by getting a kill streak to get an airstrike, or getting behind enemy lies to capture that key flag keep getting shot. They can basically spend the game just dodging a continuous stream of helicopters. This is no fun.
