Server Scramble!!

Okay some of u know me from when i used to be part of .:NE:. others know me from been on the server some dont know me at all
but i have a gripe with the server that i used to love playing on
and here it is.....SERVER SCRAMBLE! it ruins the game it seems to scramble randomly even if its been a tough round to win it will scramble at the end for some unknown reason it ruins the Team scores and when it does scramble it 9/10 times seems to make one team alot stronger then the other team my personal View is that it ruins the server im actually startin to log off the server just because of the server scramble making the teams uneven. please if your going to use a scramble program make  it so its either Vote only or that when u join the server it automaticly assigns you a team ANYTHING is better then this Scramble Crap that has been put on

The server scramble happens when one team is on a losing streak so it should always be a good thing.

thank you....i was on the server for a while today n watched it Scramble several times for no reason and other times it would wait for one team to win 4 times before it did scramble but the main point i have is it scrambles the teams wrong most of the time is puts all the highskill players on one team and noobies on the other i saw it put like 9 NE members on 1 team and 2 on the other i know its not super intelligent but its jus annoyin i really like the server n now this scramble i find just ruins it

ok..when it scrambles it does it by the player score.

when it scrambles you will see the highest scoring players are indeed split between both teams. now this can work in 2 ways; one, the highest scoring players are the most influential in the map and so the teams will be equal or 2 the most influential people on the server at the time are not the highest scorers.  most of the time it goes the first way.  there will be no perfect system to cater for every scenario but since the scramble system has been introduced the servers have been more popular over all

note that it only does it by player score in the last round - so if someone is crap but has been in for a long time, they get counted less than someone who recently joined but did quite well

Okay was just on the server now and this is a screen shot after scramble had happened the round before there was no change whats so ever Blu' s were still spawn camping and reds were just loosing constantly again i say this scramble program is useless Please see picture (Please not that teams were even and 2-3 people quit after loosing for the 4th round stright)

oh, and yes-- this scramble seems to work really badly. i agree.

automated scramble may not be the best way, i think scramble by vote or by admin power would be better

did the update screw with the awesome scramble program we put in a wee bit ago?

Also i would like to add that when i was playing i would tell people not to perma spawn camp! as it is truely stupid and can empty the server. I dont mind a rush behind to spawn and get the odd few but to stay there for a whole round or most the round is just plain ungentlemanly and i really dont think its playing fair. yes its allowed in matchs but you only have to contend with 6 people, rather than against a full side of 12 people.

my thoughts on spawn camping: it is annoying and stupid and unsportsmanlike but some of what people claim to be spawn camping isn't always spawn camping(though in a technical sense it could be). To me it's the preventing of the opposition from leaving the spawn room, to others it can be construed as a quick push though towards the spawn doors before running off. In some maps it's impossible for one person to spawn camp due to their being multiple exits, such as gravel pit, in fact a perfectly viable tactic for gravel sit is to sticky either A or B spawn doors, and it is possible to beat this camper. The only one i dislike is the pyro/medic pair camping spawn doors as it'r pointless and really difficult  to beat on some maps. Though there is nothing we can do to prevent it as people will always be people, just try not to rage out at anyone about it and move on to the next round.

Imo it is lame to spawn camp just for the sake of boosting your points or annoying people (i.e. when you have no reason to be there and it doesn't help your team). But in some maps, particularly Payload, I think it is a legit winning tactic for the last 30 seconds to catch a few people coming out so that your team can push the cart to the end.
