Was reading though the steam stuff on 'Gifts' and once its sent its just the same as that person buying the game in the first place.

So buying it in groups makes great sense to me

It turns out that l4d2 is banned in Australia. I found out that they dont have an 18 rating for games because of 1 man, the South Australia main council leader decided against voting in an 18 rating for games and because l4d2 cant be put into a 15 category then its fucked and is banned.

Australia is the only county/continent that doesn't have an 18 rating for games and is the only one to ban l4d2. Sigh

The process is like the gifting of any game on Steam, so if that is ok, then that will be fine.

My other concern is any fees that may be involved in the paypal side of things.

I would want you to send £20, and me only end up with £16, or similarly, wouldn't want you to need to send something like £23.

Once these issues have been cleared up, I'm leaning towards taking charge of group 3.

@Panda: Make sure you read up on importing Steam games into different countries. I've read [unproven] claims that they don't allow it, games have been removed and accounts have been deleted. So be careful.

@Para: Paypal allows the sender to choose who pays their [lame] fees. I sent the £20 and checked the 'pay fees' button and paid the +/- 90p myself.

gifting it too me through steam is fine.

i was thinking i could send the money through the nervous energy homesite.

if i need to send you 23 thats fine aswell, since it will still be cheaper then the store.

I don't know the specifics.. do you normally donate through the ne page Zulyar?

From my perspective, if I were to take the payments, then obviously I wouldn't want to be paying fees for doing so, and it would easier for me, if payment was made to me, rather than nervous energy. I think you can mark the payment as a gift to keep costs down.

I don't know if you normally donate Zulyar, but if you do, we can ask LC whether he normally pays any fees to receive your money.

The paypal fees are a percentage of the total amount you are sending. So sending more to cover the fees is counter intuitive as the fees will be higher. The fee is paid separately, so just send the amount for the game, then [Zulyar] check the box to pay for fees himself.

I nearly made that same mistake myself.

Paypal has a flat fee rate regardless if it's business, pleasure or a gift. *sigh*
