I do know some people who refuse to buy it because it's "crap" even though they never played it  but we can leave them to mw2 where it takes an hour to join a game. They'll come around once they see most of their mw2 buddies have abandoned it.

If I recall a lot of people didn't buy MWII because of the lack of dedis and such, and then when EA slapped IW in the face by stating they would never compromise the experience of pc gamers by removing them in their battlefield games, everyone suddenly knew this would be the next big compet game and didn't bother with cod, myself included.

I can't see how competitive would work from the games i've played, would certainly be interesting to give it a go though.

I can't see how competitive would work from the games i've played, would certainly be interesting to give it a go though.

There will be a Squad Rush mode for a start, where it's 4v4 with just two points. That would be good for clan matches and the like I think.

Cheers Rocky, nah I still have same problem, well I haven't tried it in a few days but like you said its a big problem for them, once I saw it in that official thread listed as a problem I just forgot about it as hopefully it will be fixed soon

    1) thanks for the wireshark dumps.
    2) the hardwareInfo.xml file gets written out roughly at the same time as the intro movie starts, and the game doesn't touch it after that... so that shouldn't be the cause of your getting booted from the game.
    3) we've been looking at this for a while now. one reason why it is not an obvious 5-line fix is that the networking layer we're using is a piece of middleware, and there are interactions between your game client, the game server, and several EA master servers, and it's hard to get a good grip on which machine says what to whom.
    Add to that the fact that people who consistently get this are random players over the world, and we never see it in the office nor from home, so we can't debug it directly... means that it will take yet more time to work it out.

aye, well the positive is at least its a massive problem, so they know they need to resolve it. If it was a few people having it then i imagine it would not be top priority.

Also at lvl6 you'll get a defibrillator so you can revive people. Another plus is (at least in the beta) the medic's starting gun holds 100 bullets. That's a lot of ammo to go through before needing a reload (you carry something like 400 with that gun too). Good if  you're not use to reloading.

Reloading is what automatically happens when you run out of bullets...right?  you mean to say theres a button for that?  wel....I never

You get the defib at the first level, afaik.
