Hi,

r the community planning to host a server based on Bad Company 2?
Ranked or non-ranked?

i have played this on a playstation in the closed beta.. it's very very very very good....

tbh i would love us to be hosting a server for this when it's released but it will only be a non-ranked server as EA have made it so that only 'trusted game service providers' such as gameservers.com etc will be allowed to rent/run ranked servers.

i for one will be buying it.

@zofo: Buy it..i got mine through steam (little bit more pricey, but the gf paid  ), but i heard loads of people got free keys from various websites.

Multiplay are being given keys to give away but you need to be a subscriber and no doubt  they keys will be gone within seconds of becoming available. idk when this game is released but I shall be preordering in 2 weeks if it's not released by then.

It worked with me and some other guy last night. From what we can tell it suffers from the same bug as UT3 where you both have to accept when logged in together. If one of us is loggedout it won't work.

Cool. I have the same user name as normal.

Things I didn't know at first  :
-Don't use the helicopter unless you've practice on an empty server, the controls are very tricky and you will just crash instantly like every one I know. I've even practised for an hour on an empty server and I still find it hard...
-shoot an enemy and then hit q to "spot" them. Very useful. srsly. shoot a tank with a pistol then "spot" them for the engineers to take care of, etc.
-Fkeys to change seats
-Always get passengers for vehicles.
-You can spawn at your squad's location by clicking their names before respawn.
-Work with your squad, if they have no medic spawn as a medic. If they have a tank and no engineer spawn as an engineer etc. Don't go solo. If your squad is being useless and not working as a team try to join a different squad.
-Flanking is the best tactic irl, in paintball and in computer games.

Oh and if there is a wall in your way you can most likely just blow it up
