Anyone ever played hl2/ep1/ep2? Or maybe even SMOD?

H'ockay, so. I'm looking for people to help me build an SMOD mod for hl2 (probably ep1/2), I don't have much as of now except a ton of ideas and the beginning of a start map. Since I'm largely learning everything to do with the SDK etc from scratch so it's been taking me a while to get started.


Anyway, it will be a singleplayer mod focusing on direct player control and experience of the game - none of this 'cinematic' game crap, if I want to watch a movie I'll do so. A game should be about player interaction, choices and enjoyment!

Basically I'm aiming for a new custom hl2 stoyline with custom maps and custom music with varied levels (some action packed ones, zombie/horror ones etc). So if anyone is interested in being a part of something awesome then just lemme know

In response to the actual question, I have played all of the half-life games out so far, and even a couple of multiplayer co-op source mods.
Seems like an interesting project you're going ahead with, nom, good luck with it

What do you need help with, exactly?

UFOSlava and Deviland make maps for TF2, maybe they could help you with that, if they want.

i did some basic mapping and would gladly help out^^
played every HL at least 5 times, 12 officiall and inofficial HL1 mods and 3 mods for HL2, not counting normal source games like gmod and of course both episodes.

Completely forgot to mention, but if anyone's interested in being a playtester just let me know The map is only very small atmo but any feedback/suggestions would be greatly appreciated ^_^

We have the basic layout of stage one ready, and decided that i will do all the basic mapping whilst Anomoleh will do all the details and scripting; layout and puzzles are based on a democratic and spontaneus decision
