Sucks but it is better than console style P2P play. I will still play Black ops but I refuse to buy MW2.

what exactly is wrong with dedicated servers, 100 times better than the shit lobby system mw2 has, god that makes me rage when it takes me 15 min to even get into a game where the host isnt absolute shit.
(or do you mean the exclusively part?, guess thats just for pre-orders)

nothing wrong with dedi servers...  the problem lies with the fact that you can only have one if you rent it from a game service provider as they dont allow you to run a server on your own boxes...

ne have 2 dedi boxes it owns and also the use of another dedi thanks to the 127 guys.. we shouldnt have to go a rent a server from a game server(service)providor when we have ample enough resources on our own boxes
Cheers and Good Game

Also, they are only giving one option for GSP, not a bunch like BF did. So you like it or lump it pretty much.

money grabbing laziness is what it amounts to. CBA making things customisable, oh and you have to pay for the pleasure...

I don't think that will do much, they'll just go console exclusive and not give a fuck :P, PC sales is only a small percentage on most multi-platform games these days anyway.
Sad state of affairs :<

Well and alot of pc games just get downloaded lol.
Allthough if companies realised that if a game has good supported multiplayer its worth the money.
I'm not paying 50-60 euro for a 8-9 hour SP game where they release DLC 3 weeks later to try to get more money out of you (talking about mafia 2), when they could've easily just put that in to begin with and the game might actually be worth the money.
Where are the good old days where a game got patched every so often for no extra cost. I payed 10 euro for half-life and had 5 years of fun with Counter-strike.
I'ts kind of a circle, games get downloaded so they use dlc and don't give free support to try get some extra money. But because they do that alot of pc-gamers get annoyed and stop buying games... so ye xD

Anyways, I allready pre-ordered black ops, found a webshop where i got it for 33 euro. Wouldn't have done that for the normal store price of 60 euro. Now all I can do is wait and hope they don't deliver a sucky unsuported game.

P.S. another point to rant about is the mw2 map packs, 14 euro for 1 pack and that even includes reused maps from mw1... so they expect me to pay 28 euro for a few new maps? (not to mention they are still charging 60 euro on steam for a 10 month old game) really? If it wasnt for the shop where i got it for 35 euro i would've never bought the game.
It's shit like that makes me not wanting to support some game developers.
Team fortress 2 is an example of how it should be

its exclusive to gameservers atm but they might expand to others, i mean multiplay will be going nuts not being able to host servers for it, so there will be alot asking, this might just be a pre order thing, but then again even if it is it still means we cant host one =/
