google is not a magic 8 ball you silly sausage face, thats where you were going wrong.

also where do you put maps?

guess it would be similar to the other source based games.. stick um on the server in maps folder and then they get pushed to the client.

there's a little difference in how l4d does its campaigns so will have to look at it.  but if you guys like the look of something post a link and i'll have a look at sticking it on.

Looks like it'll be a while before it's out.  

Looks like it'll be a while before many good custom maps appear tbh - there's a lot of work in producing a full campaigns worth of maps.  The only reason dead before dawn is getting there is because it had a head start - it had been in development quite a while before L4D came out - originally for some half life 2 mod.

they should just make a the missions then splice them together, it would be good if 6 different people made the missions, then each stage would be completely different from the last

i'm more or less gamed out on l4d, when new maps come it might proof usefull, anyway, why the hell can't you play versus on dead air and death toll?

the versus mode for those maps is coming as part of the new dlc stuff arriving rather soon, well after taking valve time into account

You can play them, the option to choose them is just blocked for the normal client. I once joined a server that was running Dead Air on versus.
