as soon as you get there.... even with EAS

not always true!
even the scots have arrived before the tables were ready once, and with a new venue they might run behind... so on Thursday don't count on being able to set up straight away

we usually do the tents first (coz tent space isn't reserved) anyway

If your PC will fit into a big wheely suit case then bring it in that and you can wheel it around until you can get to the desk. Newbury was a log way from the front gate to the lan area but Telford looks like its closer.

true but everytime i've arrived, all be it 8om ish each time they have been ready.  I'm gonna also guess that due to the last minute change of location they'll make sure that all is ready.  In their t's & c's for eai think it says that network or even power might not be available...can't recall anything about tables :D

Just gonna bump this again now we're within the month of LAN, if anyone has any questions ask away! You don't have long until it will be too late.

Seeing as we're gonna have quite a few people losing their LAN virginity for i52, could anyone share some hints and tips (as most of the info on the forum is from 2011!) for security, food, getting drunk etc?

Personally, I'd like to know how to keep my stuff secure :D, does anyone have any links/locks?

be prepared to either take wireless mice/keyboards with you, or stash them somewhere.

Most of the security info being from 2011 is irrelevant -it is all still good advice :)
