Roving on Laythe
« on: September 02, 2013, 01:05:33 AM »
All little green space faring men, dream of roving on Laythe. This moon of gas giant Jool appears a tropical paradise. An atmosphere, blue liquid lakes and glorious beaches and sand dunes.

To reach this tiny ocean world has been a dream of many a Kerbal, and now we've driven a beach buggy there. Hell yeah.

The dream began with the dream ship, the Aggropolis IV

Seemed to work well enough

Messin' around with some trajectories, checkin' them delta v's, pickin' a landin' spot. (I just don't like the letter 'g', ok!)

Jool in the background as I nudge the trajectory a bit

Beach buggy rover safely delivered via parachute

Nice and safe, little landing leg to act like a brake

Morning duties: Plant flag, pose for photo, beach buggy on Laythe

Sorted :D

Here's a nice one of me coasting in with two of Jool's other moons in the background, just because

That one was on a fail attempt where I missed all of the land. There isn't that much of it to be fair.
