Steam Game(read library) Sharing
« on: September 12, 2013, 13:40:06 PM »
while it seems a great idea.. it's very very restrictive.  If you permit someone to share from your library and they start playing, you cannot play ANY other games from your library without kicking the other person out of their game.

so.. they have access and wanna play l4d2 and have been playing for 20 mins or so (time is irrelevant really) then you decide you want to play tf2 or another game while they are currently sharing l4d2 from your library you will kick them off l4d2 when you start playing.

There are loads of people complaining in the steam group saying that they should create a 'sharing library' where you select the games you want to share and then it has no impact on you normal gaming and you can play games from you non-shared library at the same time.

over all the idea is good but the execution and thought behind it very restricted.
Cheers and Good Game

Probably loads of restrictions as publishers still want you to buy the games.  What it does mean is if you are away for a few days you can let someone play your games without recking your saves.  Or if 2 share one machine then both can login as themselves with their own keyboard binds and reputations and play the same games.
