with the increasing demand for servers for 'other games' ( I find it hard to believe there is any other games myself  ::) )

We are cutting back on the number of UT3 servers to one

UT3 Warfare/Betrayal/BFA/BTA/DM/TDM/VCTF 36 slots (changes slots with gametype played )

all the maps/mods in one place

ofc it goes with saying when the 'rest' of the gaming community wake up and realize that UT3 is the best 'FPS' we can always get more servers up without a problem

if you need admin access (as you have lost it for some reason with the changes) slap me and I'll slap 'Zofo' for his mistakes and get it sorted for you

I was expecting this to be honest. I always hear good things about the NE servers but people won't enter a server that's unpopulated when there are near-full ones around. The last few custom game nights have been completely empty too for the most part.  :-\

It's just a shame the populated servers are shit and the empty NE ones are better.

I think ut3 would get a lot more players if they simply rebaked all the maps with the new engine+lighting and released it as a fricken huge  optional update. But maybe that's just me.

We looked at the 3 servers and realized that we only ever required 1 at a time, there's always the option to open up a few more if required

I agree with you scorchy those images from last night made it look amazing, tell me is there a way of applying that to the game?  as in playing them in even say instant action?

Sadly not. Unreal3 uses an older version of the engine. So unless epic gives us an update which will bring the engine number up to date we can't rebake maps in the udk and export it to unreal.

I could be wrong, I'm going purely by what I've read and guess work. However I'm pretty sure this is the case.

I also think I read some where that people wanted to make a new unreal game using ut3's meshes etc + new content to make unreal3 how they thought it should of been. However Epic won't allow this  :-\

The community could, I guess, make a unreal3 clone/rip-off legally (like those shitty knock off toys you get). So long as things are named differently, look different, and everything is scripted from scratch. But that's a lot of work.
ie, have a shock rifle but call it a plasma-rifle, have it look different, have the beam/cores a different color and call a combo something else should avoid copyright problems, I think...
