Shall we settle on one as a 'community' avatar? I quite like the orange one on white background:

The avatar, like the tag, is just another way of deciphering who is in the TF2 Squads and which Squad they are in. So, who cares if it IS a little anal? :)

Yes.  Could add this to our principles and guidelines.

yeah i like that one LC.

just wondering though, would having a community avatar so similar to our match team avatars (apart from colour)be misconstrued as nervousENERGY having another team..dunno.. perhaps i'm being picky..

I would assume however that normal community people will keep their own avatars and just use the |ne.

the orange-golden one there was just meant as a general replacement, like all the others are. and imo you cant mess up the teams when there are avatars with black backgroud for the match teams and such with white background for the community.

also, i could do some more if requested.

moved this back to this section so people know they shouldn't be using the red and blu avatars as they are reserved for match players.

look forward to the rest of the ideas for the community avatar

It's just an avatar, so no problemo for me  :)

But may i suggest that when its clear wich avatar ne is using for TF2, to move the "TF2 only" avatars to a private area where only people can see it and can use it if they have acces to it?
Thats imo much easier for the people, esp if you're not aware of it and want to promote ne  :D

Gr Fragger

PS: if i were a TF2 player, then i would choose this one i believe:

By the way, we do already have a Community Group avatar.  It's the white/grey one on our Steam Group page and the Blu team were using it.

Yeh, the TF2 avatars squad vs. non-squad should be clearly distinguishable.  That's a reason I like the orange on white version, which contrasts nicely with the squads' dark/black ones.

Whatever we decide, we should certainly make it clear to all.  That's why I suggest adding it to our Principles and Guidelines.  They current only deal with tags, not avatars.
