have to say that was something that bugged me about the g15 the key lights were far to bright! even when turned down >_<

Didn't know you could even turn them down lol

as i said it was still too bright even when turned down! + it was orange instead of a nice blue

Maybe I can turn up the kb, tbh I cannot find how to tweak the kb, the software seems to be a driver only, not sure how to edit keys or anything

ok I have had these 2 items for a while now so here is my review


Stay away from the valo kb, do not be tricked by the pretty blue lights, its an evil keystroke dropping piece of shit, i am going to send it back to them, when I looked into it I realised I am not the only one with this problem.  This kb was in development for a number of years, you really have to ask what they were doing during that time


The headset is decent, the sound is really good, its comfortable and is very functional.  There is one small thing I don't like about it, it blocks out a lot of background sound, now I don't have any background sound that needs blocking out, I would prefer to be able to hear my wife calling me etc...  also my voice sounds muffled to me when I speak, sounds like i have a cold and its a little off putting

I expected keys to be a problem. My keyboard is pretty much the same minus the pretty lights and audio ports. I've gotten use to it after a year but I still hit the incorrect keys. ie, in ut3-warfare I hit F3 when trying to hit 3 (not gap between F-keys and numkeys) which by default brings up the map... I often bring up the wrong weapon when switching in all my games too.

I switched back to my G15, when i did I was wondering why I ever switched from it, apart from the fact that it needs a good clean

Sounds like your new headset is closed-ear, rather than open-ear.

What people like comes down to preference, but it sounds like you are more used to an open-ear headset.

I should be able to get used to it I think, hopefully as its decent headset

Addicted to the positional sound now in l4d - either other people are just not very good or they can't work out where sounds are coming from as well as I can.  I am generally first to notice the specials coming, and have a lot of success hearing then spinning around and knocking back that zombie I missed running up behind me.
